My story…

Hi there!

My name is Beth Duc and I am the owner and lead designer for Sparkle and Twine Event Decor and Planning. I live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, on our family’s vineyard and tender fruit farm, with my husband Jeff, and our two children. Peach season, on our farm, may just be my favourite time of the year!

My love for events stemmed, surprisingly, from my love for wine. Growing up with Niagara’s emerging wine country in my proverbial backyard, I quickly fell in love with, and worked at, several of Niagara’s iconic wineries. From the vineyards to the cellars to the hospitality side of the business, I was fortunate to spend my winery life learning all aspects of the process. But I quickly found, my love for details and creating beautiful experiences, lead me to a career in special events. There is something so magical in setting up an intimate, outdoor dinner, amongst the vines in summer, or planning an exclusive event in a private barrel cellar where the wines are quietly aging to perfection before being bottled. I thrived in the details and after almost a decade learning, perfecting and connecting in that role, I made the decision to share my love of planning and design with a wider range of clients.

I opened Sparkle and Twine Event Planning in 2016 and during those 10 years, I have slowly and surely acquired a beautiful collection of event rentals and decor. During that time, I was also fortunate enough to partner with a corporate planning agency in the role of Creative Lead in charge of signature event theme, colour palette, decor procurement, floor planning and design. I have created high-end, large-scale event designs for over 700+ guests at signature venues across Canada. I achieved my WPIC certification in 2020 and I bring a highly professional yet approachable experience for my clients.
